Essere Home began with a simple idea: to create something fun together.

As a Canadian-owned, women-owned small business, we started Essere Home as a creative project for the both of us—an opportunity to spend time together, try something new, and give my mother-in-law a creative pursuit to enjoy during retirement.

What began as an idea on the couch has grown into something we're incredibly excited to share with others. Based in Ontario, Canada, we hand-pour each of our soy candles locally, thoughtfully selecting fragrances and designing each product with the belief that the little details can make a house feel like home.

The name Essere comes from the Italian word meaning “to be.” For us, Essere Home represents the simple feeling of being at home—to slow down, enjoy the moment, and surround yourself with things that make you feel comfortable and at peace.

We're so happy to have you here and hope our candles can become a small part of the moments that make your home feel like yours.
